  • I'm curious to know what kind of place he was born and raised.

I'm curious to know 最後に "he was born and raised" とは「彼の生まれ育った」という意味です。

  • I wonder what kind of place he grew up in.

  • I'd like to know what kind of city/town he was raised in.

1) I wonder what kind of place he grew up in. 2) I'd like to know what kind of city/town he was raised in. I would like to know で「知りたいです」 be raised で「育てられる」 ご参考になれば幸いです!

  • Hometown

A "hometown " is where you were born, not necessarily where you were raised. A hometown can be a place where you were "born and raised" or just a place where you were "born". Here are some examples sentences, hope it helps! "I was born in Tokyo but I was raised in Yokohama." Meaning you were born in one place and grew up in another place. "I was born and raised in Osaka." Meaning you were born and grew up in the same place. "What is your hometown like?" Meaning is your hometown beautiful, with lots of nature like mountains and forests. "What is your hometown famous for?" Meaning does your hometown have anything special that can attract people, like Mount Fuji.
"hometown" はその人が生まれた場所をいいます。これは必ずしも育った場所ではありません。 "hometown" はその人が生まれ育った場所のこともあります。もしくは、生まれただけの場所かもしれません。 以下例文です、参考になれば幸いです! "I was born in Tokyo but I was raised in Yokohama."(私は東京で生まれて、横浜で育ちました) "I was born and raised in Osaka."(私は大阪で生まれ育ちました/生まれも育ちも大阪です) "What is your hometown like?"(あなたの故郷の町はどんな所ですか) ※「あなたの故郷の町は山や森などの自然に囲まれた美しい所ですか」という意味です。 "What is your hometown famous for?"(あなたの故郷の町は何で有名ですか) ※「あなたの故郷の町には人を引き寄せるような何か特別なものはありますか(例えば富士山のような)」という意味です。

  • "I would like to know more about what kind of place he was born and raised"

  • "I would like to know more information about his hometown"

If you were to a certain person (male), and you wanted to know more about the place he was born and raised and what kind of place it is, you could say any of the following: "I want to know about the place where he grew up", "I would like to know more about what kind of place he was born and raised" or "I would like to know more information about his hometown". All three of these examples will get you the information required.
"I want to know about the place where he grew up"(彼の育った場所について知りたいです) "I would like to know more about what kind of place he was born and raised"(彼の生まれ育った場所がどんな所かもっと知りたいです) "I would like to know more information about his hometown"(彼の故郷の町についてもっと知りたいです) 三つどれを使っても、あなたの求めている情報を聞き出せると思います。

  • I want to know about the place where you grew up

  • Tell me about the place you were born and raised

If you want information or details about something then you would say 'I want to know' you could always ask someone to tell you by saying 'tell me about' 'the place' refers to the town or area you are talking about The place where you were born and raised as a child is also referred to as where you 'grew up'

  • "I'd love to hear more about the place he (you) grew up in."

  • "Can you tell me more about the place where he was born and raised?"

  • "Please tell me about his hometown."

"I'd love to hear more about the place he (you) grew up in." This could be a great statement to use to get someone to open about their hometown, upbringing and other similar details about their childhood for example. "Can you tell me more about the place where he was born and raised?" As opposed to the above example, this is a direct question asking someone to give you details about the place of birth of the person you are inquiring about. "Please tell me about his hometown" lets the person you are speaking to know you want to hear more about the hometown of the subject you are talking about. You could then ask further follow up questions like "What was it like growing up there?", "What did he enjoy most about his childhood?"
"I'd love to hear more about the place he (you) grew up in." "Can you tell me more about the place where he was born and raised?" "Please tell me about his hometown" (彼の故郷について教えてください。) What was it like growing up there?"(そこで育ったのはどんな感じだった?)や "What did he enjoy most about his childhood?"(彼は子供のころ何を一番楽しんでいたの?)

  • Where did he spend his childhood...and what kind of place was it?

  • Where was he brought up? What's that place like?

You'd like to know the details about someone's hometown...where it was..and what kind of place it was. Of course, in reality, this is two questions. In this scenario any of the above example questions may be appropriate.

  • Where did he grow up?

  • What kind of place did he grow up.

  • I want to know about the place where he grew up.

Where did he grow up? What kind of place did he grow up? I want to know about the place where he grew up. When you want to know about someone, male or female, about where they grew up and what type of place it is, then you can use one of these three sentences. I hope that helps. Have a great day. Will

  • Where do you call home?

  • Where did you live during your childhood?

A place that a person calls home does not necessarily refer to the place one is currently residing but a special place where memories were made and a majority of his/her life happened. Childhood is another term that can define the time in which a person grew up. A person may refer to certain aspects of his/her life to be a childhood thing, for example, Tony was my childhood bully.

  • Could you tell me about the place that he grew up in?

When you ask the question: could you tell me about the place that he grew up in? You are referring to the place where someone spent their childhood/teenage years living as they were growing into an adult. You want to find out more about that place.
