なんでしょう？以下に例文を書いてみます。

昨日の夜みんなで飲みまくってんだよ、ティファニー以外はね。彼女のおかげで帰れたよ。ティファニーは（mom friend）なんだ。
正解は：
母親のような友達
という意味です笑。まるで母親のように面倒をみてくれたり、責任感が強い友達とか彼女のことを mom friend と呼んだりします！
なので、意味が1つじゃないので使う時は文脈に注意ですね。

In the English language their is no particular phrasing for this type of friend, instead you might explain how you became friends... 'our children are friends'

In the UK, we use the term 'MUM' not 'MOM' however in America they will say mom.
Group of mothers could be the mums together having chats but in a group. We sometimes use the term 'mothers meetings' when there all together talking because in a group they all look like there having a meeting.
Playground mothers speaks for itself where they are the mums of the children at the playground.
So I believe the most common would be to say that they are, "mom friends," to say that they are friends because of their roles as mother's to two children who are friends as well.
We can use the term, "playground moms," for moms who became friends because they always go to the same playground with their kids and eventually sit and talk to each other because of this.
Lastly, when you have two moms who are very close friends and their children/husbands also become friends as well we can call these, "family friends," because the entire families are friends with each other.
