お盆休みって英語でなんて言うの？

お盆休みは英語で、「Obon festival」または、「Obon holidays」などで表現できます。

お盆休みの1番自然な訳は Obon holidayもしくは Obon vacationだと思います。Holidayはイギリス英語で、vacationはアメリカ英語です。

Where are you going during the Obon holiday?お盆休みにどこへ行きますか？

I think I'm gonna stay at home and chill during the Obon holiday. お盆休みは家でゴロゴロするだけだと思う。

chillはリラックスという意味です。スラングです。

お盆休みは多くの日本人がとる休暇だよ。A lot of Japanese people take time off for the Obon holiday. もしくは A lot of Japanese people usually take Obon off.

休暇の話の場合は take〜 off は「〜をとる」という意味です。例えば、I took a week off. (私は)1週間の休暇をとりました。

お盆はobonです。日本のイベントだからそのままobonになります。
