  • Rip-off

質問者様の例ですと: - Be careful because there are shops that are complete rip-offs と言えます。 例文: - I paid 400yen for a cup of coffee, what a rip-off! I can get better coffee for 90yen in Italy!

  • That shop is a complete sham.

  • It is daylight robbery when you eat at that restaurant.

  • The prices charged for the items at that shop is a complete rip-off!

There are many words you can use to describe "rip-off". Rip-off is slang for theft or robbery. In the three sentences samples I've given you, you are saying that the shop or restaurant is over charging and people should stay away. You can also use words like con, exploit, cheat, swindle. People will know what you are saying about the specific place or person you are referring to. Example: *That shop exploits people for their money. -In this sentence you are saying that the shop/restaurant is selling items in an unfair manner for their own advantage *The shop cons people with the items on his menu. -In this sentence you are saying that the shop is making people believe that they are buying decent products of value but instead they are buying cheap products that doesn't have value. *The shop swindled people out of thousands of dollars. -In this sentence you are saying that the shop is selling items in a deceptive way deception - not being truthful
例: *That shop exploits people for their money. *The shop cons people with the items on his menu. *The shop swindled people out of thousands of dollars.

  • This restaurant is too expensive it's a scam!

  • Be careful of that restaurant its a tourist trap, they charge far too much!

  • The prices at that restaurant are extortionate.

When a restaurant or shop is known for being more expensive than it should be it then it can be described as scam or being extortionate which implies they are doing this unfairly and being greedy. If a restaurant is specifically targeted at tourists, then it can also be described as a tourist trap because it is exploiting the naivety of tourists to charge higher prices.

  • They're a rip off

  • They charge way too much

A 'Rip off' is an expression that is used to imply that a place like a shop, restaurant, pub etc charges too much, their price for their products would cost a lot of money, ex. "Don't go to that shop, they are a rip off". "I got ripped off" - after buying something that is over priced.
例: "Don't go to that shop, they are a rip off".

  • Watch out for that shop - they're rip off merchants!

  • Be careful in that shop - they'll see you off!

You want to talk about some restaurants/shops that are known for rip-offs/charging too much? You want to tell a friend to be careful of such shops. Above are a couple of example statements for that scenario. To see someone off = to scam money from someone, to give very poor value for money.
To see someone off = お金をだまし取る、法外な値段を請求する

  • rip-off

  • Be careful ,some of the restaurants they are a rip-off

When places/shops charge more than you can buy or get it somewhere or over charge for things then you would simply say they are a 'rip-off' when talking to your friend you would say 'be careful, some of the resturants are a rip-off' this would explain what you are talking about
友達に話すなら、 'be careful, some of the resturants are a rip-off'(気をつけてね、ぼったくりの店もあるから) と言えます。

  • Watch out at that restaurant because they don't give you your money's worth.

"To give someone their money's worth" means that you provide a good service or product that they should spend money on. If a restaurant isn't doing that, it means that either their portions are very small, that the service is bad, the food quality is poor, or that their prices are too high. I hope that this helps. :)
"To give someone their money's worth"
