Thank you for the letter.
Thank you for the letter. I received it yesterday.
Thank you very much for the letter, I was so happy to hear from you.
1.) Thank you for the letter.
Thank you for the letterは「手紙をくれてありがとう」と同じ意味です。
Thank you for the letter."
"Thank you so much for writing to me."
"so much"は協調です。

Native speakers will say like this: “Thanks for the letter!”.
There are lots of other ways to say it, but this one is the most accurate and most commonly used.
Here is an example on how to use this in a conversation:
A: John, thanks for the letter!
B: Hey, no problem!
Your answer would be totally dependant on the context of receiving the letter.
If it was purely business related, then you would say:-
I am in receipt of your letter dated xx October 2019.
However, if the letter is from a friend who you haven't heard from in a while, the following would be more appropriate:-
Thank you for your letter. It was such a nice surprise to hear from you.
The response you give will depend a little on who sent the letter to you and whether it is a personal or business correspondence but essentially both can start with 'Thank you for your letter'.
For a personal letter you may continue the sentence with:
'it was great to hear from you!'
For a business correspondence, you may continue with:
dated the xx/xx/xx, regarding the matter of XXX.
If someone sends you a letter and you wish to acknowledge it in your reply, a simple response would be just 'thankyou for your letter'. However, a more advanced response would depend on the context.
If you received a letter from a friend or relative, you would say 'thankyou for your kind letter'. You could follow that up by saying something else appropriate such as '...which was a pleasure to read', or 'It's always great to hear from you.'
If it was a business letter you would need to reference which letter you're referring to, as the sender probably sent many. So saying something like 'thankyou for your letter dated XXX' or 'thankyou for your letter reference XXX' might be appropriate.
Thanks so much for sending the letter, it was great!
I really enjoyed the letter you sent me! Thanks!
Of course, it depends on the situation. In an informal situation we can use any of these two sentences. They are very polite and friendly.
In a business situation, I would recommend you write more than just what I have written above.
Maybe something like "Thank you for your letter regarding the job position of Head Chef. We have considered your application, "
The first two examples are casual comments thanking someone for writing. The second example is expressing your reaction to receiving the letter - which is an indirect way of actually thanking them for their letter.
The third example is a little more formal.
1. Thanks for keeping in touch!
To "keep in touch" means to be in communication with
someone that you do not see or hear from too often.
Example: She promised to keep in touch when she left to
join the new company.
2. I'm so happy to hear from you!
This means that the person is not someone that you see or
hear from regularly any more, e.g. it could be a friend or
relative who moved to a different area or an ex-colleague who
left the company to work someplace else.
Example: It's great to hear from you after such a long time!
Thanks so much for the letter, i really appreciated/enjoyed it.
If you would like to thank someone for sending/writing you a letter, you can say something like "Thanks so much for the letter, I really appreciated/enjoyed it." or "Thank you for the letter you wrote/sent me, I really appreciated it. These are some easy and polite ways to express this to someone.
You can either say: "thank you", (more formal) or: "thanks", which is slightly less formal. After thanking the person for sending you the letter you could also add: I really appreciate it on the end, to show them your appreciation, for sending you the letter.
