それどころかむしろって英語でなんて言うの？

「風邪に効くと思って家にあった薬を飲んだらそれどころかむしろ悪化した。」
When I took the medicine at home that I thought would help, instead my cold worsened.
Instead of helping, when I drank the medicine that I thought would work, my cold worsened.
Rather than helping, the medicine at home I thought would work worsened my cold.

薬を飲む to drink medicine, to take medicine (どちらも言えます。）
それどころか instead of, rather than, instead

この場合の「それどころかむしろ」は、
on the contraryで表現するのが適切だと思います(^_^)
on the contraryは「それどころかむしろ逆に」という意味です。

I took the medicine hoping my cold would get better. On the contrary, it got worse.
「風邪が良くなると願って薬を飲んだのに。むしろ逆に、悪くなった」
