It's almost christmas.も正しい英語ですが、
Christmas is right in front of us.
※ここでのrightは「まさに」のような強調の意味
※in front of～「～の前・正面」
「クリスマスがもう私たちの目の前にある」
宣伝に使われるのであればこのように言ってもオシャレだと思います。
in front of～は本来なら場所を表す表現ですが、yuiさんもご指摘のように、場所を表す表現が比喩的に時間を表す表現に転用されることはよくあります。
Christmas is coming.
「クリスマスがやってきている」
これも「やってくる」という本来は場所の移動を表す表現を時間に転用した比喩表現です。

"Christmas is coming soon!" は「クリスマスがもうすぐやって来る！」
"Christmas is almost here!" は「クリスマスがもうそこまで来ている！」です。
ちなみに、クリスマスまでの日を"5 days till Christmas" 「クリスマスまであと５日」のようにカウントダウンしていく表現もあります。

The term '....... is just around the corner!' means that something is not very far away. It can be used in other expressions such as upcoming birthdays or other events, not just for Christmas.
