「期待する」という言葉は英語でto hope for, to expectになりますが、前向きな「[新入社員](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/36078/)に期待する・～に期待する」という表現だったら、To have high hopes for～になります。
でも、場合によってたまに違います。
「～に期待していたのに」= but I was hoping～！
また、何か特別じゃないこと（平凡な会議室など）を紹介するときの「[期待しないでください](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/5146/)」は英語で、Don't get your expectations too highになります。
