If your 3 days includes the weekend, Saturday & Sunday then you can say.

I am having a long weekend.
I am having a 3 day weekend.

If you have three days off because you have a normal weekend plus one extra day, we would call that a three day weekend. We also say four day weekend and very rarely five day weekend. But you can't really go past that.

If the reason is unimportant, any of those expressions will suffice.

This means that the holiday is for 3 days in a row. You can say "I have 3 day holiday. I am so excited".

Quite often if it's a Monday or Friday we have off, we call it a long weekend or 3 day weekend.
Of course, you could call it a 3 day holiday no matter which days they are.

We use the phrase 3 day weekend when a holiday falls on the day before or after a weekend, so if you have any of the following consecutive days off, it is called a three day weekend:

Fri, Sat, Sun
Sat, Sun, Mon

Otherwise, you can just say you have 3 days off or that you have a 3 day long break.

1. I am having a few days off in a row this month for a national holiday and will be going out of town.

"3 day holiday" - this is a simple and direct way of saying that you will be taking three days off

"I am taking 3 days off" - this explains that you will be taking three days off

"I'm taking a short break" - this explains that you will be having a short break (implied holiday)

If you have three days off we would say "Three days off in a row". This shows that you have three consecutive days off. If you have a friday or monday off, and you get weekend off(saturday and sunday), we would call that a three day weekend. "I have a three day weekend!" means that you have monday or friday off and only work four days that week.

If you had a "_(number)-day/week holiday", you do not have to go into work or school for that number of days.
