"The bus left me standing at the bus stop." and "The bus drove right past me even though I tried to stop it." are two acceptable ways to explain that you were left at the bus stop even though you had indicated that you wanted the bus to stop. Depending on which part of the English speaking world you are in there are different ways to describe this situation. Such as "When I tried to flag down the bus it did not stop." or "The bus did not stop when I signaled it." or "The bus driver did not even look in my direction as he drove past the stop." Any of these sentences or similar ones will explain to your hearer what happened at the bus stop. Perhaps, you are wanting to explain why you are late. It realy depends how polite or how angry you are about this situation when you explain what happened! A normal explanation would be one of exasperation: "The bus driver totally ignored me at the bus stop!" A more measured and unemotional explanation might be: "The bus driver was negligent in failing to stop at the bus stop" However a common and highly expressive outburst of frustration might include use of the vulgar slang word 'bastard.' "The bastard kept going!"

You could say 'the bus did not stop for me' or `the bus drove past me' you could also say that `the bus drove past me even though I indicated for it to stop for me' or `the bus driver ignored me and drove straight past me and left me' these would all get the meaning across of the bus not stopping to let you on
