This is a common phrase used to clarify if you have done something wrong or strange. The other person will answer with yes or no so it may be necessary for you to ask more questions. I hope that this helps. :)

Confuse' means 'to mistake something for something else.' 'Was it something I said?' is like asking if something you just said has elicited the confused response from the person.
Confuse'は「〔あるものを別のもの〕に間違える」という意味です。
'Was it something I said?'は、相手が戸惑っているときに「それは自分の言ったことが原因か」と尋ねる言い方です。

In a situation like that, you can check with the other person by asking them using any of the three sentences. All three sentences will let the other person know that you could sense in the way they looked at you or responded to your statement, that what you said didn't sound right to them.
