友達と会話の中でよく「話変わるけど～～だよね」というシーンがあるのですが、英語では何というのでしょうか。

有名なフレーズですね。ご存じでしたらすみません。
by the way は「それはそうと, ところで」などという意味です。
。話題を変えるときに使いますね。

それはそうと、僕の鍵見なかった。

by the wayと同じくらいよく使われるのが in the meantime です。
元は「その間に、そうしている間に」という意味ですが、
「話は変わるけど・・・」と話題転換のフレーズにもなっています。
使い方は by the wayと変わらず、文の冒頭で In the meantime, と言って
一呼吸して新たな話題を始めるという感じがいいです。
なお、in the meanwhileとも言います。同じことです。

If you want to be direct you can say 'Let's change the subject'.
Pretty straight forward and obviously shows that you wish to talk about something else.
If you want to be less direct you can just say 'anyway....' and then bring up a new subject of conversation.
I use a lot when speaking with my friends.
You can also say 'so....' in place of 'anyway...' and it has the same effect.
「Let's change the subject」というと直接的な表現になります。
「Pretty straight forward and obviously」は他のことについて話したいという意味の表現になります。
「anyway....」といってから他の話題を切り出すとと少し急な印象がなくなります。
友達と話す時は「anyway」の代わりに「so...」ということもできます。
