絆って英語でなんて言うの？

家族・親族の「絆」に対しては、ties が良く若使われます。
家族の絆＝family ties.

友達・恋人の「絆」に対しては、bondsを使います。
友情の絆＝bonds of friendship.

親になっていてから『親子の絆』とか言った言葉に目が留まるようになったと思います。
ですが、ここでは『友情の絆』ですよね。

さて、『～の絆』を英語で表現してみると
"the bond of~" （~の絆）
"the ties between ~ and ~"　（~と~の絆）
"the bond between ~ and ~"　（～と～の絆）
となります。
"the ties/bond between parents and children"
（親子の絆）と言う表現はよく目にするような気がします。
"tie" や "bond" （強いつながり、深いつながり）と言う意味になるので
『絆』と表現して使えると思います。

「絆」は英語で色んな言い方があります。「絆」調べれば「bond」が一番出てくると思います。他の言い方は「relationship」又は「tie」です。「relationship」は「関係」という意味です。「tie」は「結び」という意味です。絆が切られたときは「tear apart」と言います。仲良くするときは「mend」という動詞を使用します。

仲いい友達の絆はそんな簡単に切られません。
The bond between good friends cannot be torn apart so easily.

「絆」という言葉を英語で表すと、「bond」という言葉も「tie」という言葉も使っても良いと考えました。複数形は「bonds」と「ties」です。例えば、「I have a very strong bond with everyone in my family.」という文章を使っても良いです。「Strong」は「強い」という意味があって、「family」は「家族」という意味があります。「Everyone」という言葉は「皆さん」です。
