補足って英語でなんて言うの？

naotoさん ご質問どうもありがとうございます。 補足（名詞）は英語で「addition 」と言います。 「説明を[補足する](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/67219/)」といった言い回しではやはり、 英語では形容詞additionalを使うことが多いと思います。 訳: to provide an additional explanation　（provide [提供する](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/52073/)） で、上の文脈の「補足資料を配る」を英語で表現したい場合は、 下記の言い方ではいかがでしょうか。 "to distribute additional materials" I wasn't sure if a simple PowerPoint presentation would be sufficient, so I thought I'd distribute some additional materials to facilitate understanding of my talk. --- sufficient = 十分 --- to facilitate = 手助けする、促進する ご参考にしていただければ幸いです。

上記の例はどちらでも意味は通じます。 形容詞として「I thought a mere Powerpoint presentation wouldn't communicate the whole meaning, so i provided supplementary materials 」パワポだけだと意味が伝わらないと思ったので、補足資料を配ろうと思っています。 動詞としても言うことができます。「supplement」や「complement」 例：「this job supplements my regular income.」この仕事は通常の給料を補足しています。
