When requesting a refund, be stern but polite. You can simply ask the company to "issue" you a refund for any delays of service. Another way of saying refund is use the word reimbursement or reimburse. You can also state that you would like to be compensated for any complication you experienced while your flight was delayed.
払い戻しをお願いしたいときは、厳格に、かつ丁寧にいることが大切です。遅延のために払い戻しをお願いしたいことを伝えましょう。

We use the word "refund" wen we did not get the expected service/ goods that we payed for and now we would like them to give back the money we spent. Instead of saying "refund", you could also just use the phrase "give me my money back". These two examples would suffice in any situation where you are not satisfies- you could just replace the reason. For example: "I would like a refund. The shirt had a hole in it."
