When someone makes a nice comment on your post on social media; to thank them, you may say the following:
-Thank you for the compliment
-I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.
誰かがSNSの自分の投稿に優しいコメントを残してくれたときは、次のように感謝を伝えられます。
-Thank you for the compliment（褒めてくれてありがとうございます）
-I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.（優しい言葉に感謝します。ありがとうございます）
Usually you can just say, "Thank you!" You can also say, "thank you, I appreciate your comment," or "thank you, I needed to hear that", "thank you, you just made my day", "thank you very much", and "thank you so much".
You can also return a compliment such as "thank you, your dress is lovely," "You are so sweet, I love that you noticed that about me", "thank you, I appreciate you coming with me", "thank you, your hair is so beautiful".
たいていは、単に"Thank you!"と言えます。

It is common to use the word 'comment' to refer to a social media post. However, you can also use the phrase 'your words' to refer to something a person said to you. Both of these are common, polite sentences. Also, you can use '(one's) words' with any adjective, such as 'his hurtful words' or 'her encouraging words'.
The three sentences you see provided above are terrific ways to thank your listener for posting a nice comment on your picture. In the third sentence you will see the word sweet. Although this word has different meanings in this sentence it means nice or kind. This word is appropriate for informal settings, like talking with close friends or family.
If someone commented something nice on my post on social media. and youwant to thank them (generally) for the nice comment, then you could use or adapt the first example sentence above. Or, specifically, thank them for what they said as in the second example sentence

Thank you for … で「〜ありがとう」と英語で伝えることができます。
もう少しフォーマルな言い方では appreciate を使うと「感謝する」と言うことができます。
I appreciate … で「〜を感謝しています」という意味の英語表現になります。

make my day は「楽しい1日にする」というようなニュアンスの英語表現です。
